Ad Market in China Booms, Business and Industry Trends Analysis

According to analysts at Asian advertising agency dentsu, China’s advertising spending was expected to reach $123.4 billion in 2024.  One of the biggest challenges in advertising effectively within China is its vast size and cultural diversity.  China spans an immense geographic area, contains 1.4 billion residents and is marked by many regional differences in consumer tastes, sensitivities, dialects and income levels.  For example, the coastal areas, booming with manufacturing and service industry jobs, contain households that are more educated, more mobile and more affluent than most inland areas.  Approximately 1 billion Chinese have smartphones.
