At Plunkett Research, Ltd., we are committed to ensuring that our online service is highly useful to people with physical challenges such as visual or hearing loss. We are striving to make Plunkett Research Online meet all web content accessibility guidelines for all users. This policy applies to all new and updated content at www.plunkettresearchonline.com. We are monitoring for accessibility issues as they are identified and meet AA standards for accessibility. We are dedicated to providing equal access to all users.
Our system has been carefully designed so that it can service can accommodate a wide range of devices, whether handheld or a desktop.
Fonts:
For maximum accessibility, font sizes are coded in relative sizes rather than fixed or absolute sizes. A larger font is used for the title on Plunkett Research Online for small children and seniors (Based on the Web Content Accessibility guidelines (WCAG) published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) which is part of the World Wide Web consortium (W3C).
Backgrounds:
Light background with dark text are used for accessibility optimization and backgrounds that obscure text is avoided.
Images:
Images are no more than 75 pixels per inch and identified images with <alt>.
Links:
We are as clear as possible when describing a link’s content. Phrases such as “click here” and “enter” are avoided. Images as links are avoided so there is not visual difficulty in finding the links.
Validation:
We utilize the Google Chrome plugin WAVE for accessibility evaluations.

- Tutorials: Please note that our Tutorial videos are easy-to-use and provide complete information about how to get the most from Plunkett Research Online. These videos are CC (Close-Captioned). In addition, PDF versions of the text of these videos have been posted for your convenience.
- Font Size: Please note that it is simple to increase the font of each page in our system by using the Control/Scroll (mouse) or similar function of your device.
Ongoing Projects:
As of July 2016, we have ongoing projects to monitor and assess features of Plunkett Research Online for accessibility, and we will continue to monitor the system. We currently meet WCAG 2.0 A&AA Guidelines/ISO/IEC 40500:2012. A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) follows.
