The global Coronavirus pandemic effectively shut down physical classrooms on every level throughout the world. From preschoolers to students in university graduate programs, all were sent home until further notice. Worldwide, hundreds of millions of students and teachers were forced to learn and teach online, according to UNESCO.

Those schools and institutions that had online programs already up and running were far ahead of the game, managing to continue classes on a remote basis.
