Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) is a leading provider of management and technology consulting services and solutions. The company has more than 110 offices in 48 countries, providing customers with a wide range of consulting, technology and outsourcing services. Accenture serves 84 of the Fortune Global 100 and more than half of the Global 500. Clients include AT&T, Microsoft, Sony, Bank of America and the U.S. Department of Commerce. The firm delivers services and solutions through five global market units (communications and high-tech, financial services, products, resources and government), comprising 18 industry groups. Accenture offers eight primary service lines: strategy and business architecture, customer relations management, supply chain management, human performance, finance and performance management, technology research and innovation, solutions engineering and solutions operations. The firm also operates Accenture Technology Labs, focusing on future technologies in commerce, information technology, productivity, media, privacy and developing technologies. Concerning nanotechnology, Accenture is monitoring developments and watching for opportunities in the medical, manufacturing, computing and energy industries. In other news, Accenture launched a new software platform, called SAP xApp Integrated Exploration and Production, designed to assist energy companies in managing upstream asset portfolios and improving operations. The firm grew by 20,000 employees in fiscal 2004 and will grow by that much again in fiscal 2005. About 30% of its consulting contracts today are based on performance--the more that Accenture helps clients meet their specific financial or operational goals, the more Accenture gets paid. The firm is seeking longer, larger contracts on a multi-year basis. Accenture's mid-term goal is to increase revenues from outsourcing agreements to 50% of total sales from the 32% level of 2003.

Accenture provides employee training for a full range of learning and places an emphasis on hiring recent college graduates.Flexible schedules, job sharing and telecommuting are available for many positions.
